Our Stuff Has Arrived!!!

The long-awaited day has finally come! We have moved into our apartment and our stuff from home has arrived ... and thankfully, all is accounted for. It was so exciting to open all of the boxes! It was like Christmas except for all the pretty ribbons and bows. Nate and I packed until 2 in the morning on the day the movers came to pick up our shipment, so we didn't even remember half of the stuff we brought! The littlest things made us happy... like good-smelling candles, pillows, blankets, sweatpants, and slippers. I think I will appreciate having all these things this winter more than any other one in the past.

Below are a few pictures of our apartment. Keep in mind th
ese are the "before" pictures. I intend to post the "after" pictures soon. :-)

The Living Room.
We love the hardwood floors and windows!

Jake is sniffing out the new place. I wonder what he's thinking... ?
All of our stuff from IKEA... I love that store!
The Bedroom.
There will literally only be room for a bed once we get ours in there!

The bedroom... filled with moving boxes. There are boxes all over the apartment. I was glad for the stuff to come in, but now I'm ready for the boxes to go out! Jake is posing on a new red carpet. If you ever visited our old home, you would know I have to have some red decor! The Kitchen.
So... it's not exactly a chef's dream, but if you've ever seen a european kitchen, you would know that this one is a pretty good size. It's nice to have countertops on both sides and it even has a bar for a couple of stools. I'm just glad it has a dish washer!!
The Dining Room.
Okay, it's more like a breakfast nook, but this is where we will be dining.
You can also see a little bit of our view from the balcony. There are some really pretty trees and rooftops.

Jake looks like he wants to go outside. He still stands by the back door whenever he needs to "do his business" even though I always take him out the front door. For some reason he doesn't get it... I thought my dog was smart!!

More posts on Basel and recent travels to France coming soon...
